Bucharest, September 17, 2024RBJ – Bucharest Gaming Week, the event that brings together gamers and the newest and most popular games of the moment, will take place for nine days, from October 5th to October 13th, 2024, in a hybrid format, both physically and online. The central event of the eighth edition takes place at the Palace of the Parliament on 12th and 13th of October. In the three imposing halls, Unirii, Take Ionescu and I.I.C Brătianu, gamers will meet Romania’s most popular streamers, compete in dozens of competitions and watch the hottest esports demonstrative matches.

“We will definitely bring the most popular games for the Romanian gamers this year as well. We’re talking about Fortnite, Counter-Strike 2, FC 25, newly launched at that time, Brawl Stars or Minecraft. The first FC 25 competitions organized in Romania will take place at Bucharest Gaming Week. There will also be other new games, some who have premiered just a few weeks ago at Gamescom. We thus aim to position the gaming event in Bucharest as the most important of the fall in central and eastern Europe,” said Tudor Dăescu, co-organizer of Bucharest Gaming Week.

Participants will compete for prizes and the title of champion in dozens of competitions that will take place at the booths during the event. Competitions will cover Romania’s most popular games among young people: Fortnite, Minecraft, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, EA FC 25, League of Legends, Stumble Guys, Brawl Stars and many more. There will also be the mobile arena, which will give participants the chance to compete on dozens of high-performance gaming phones.

After its success in 2023, the treasure hunt returns with even more challenges for those attending. They will have the mission to uncovering all the clues in the Palace of Parliament and conquering the levels to go home with as many prizes as possible.
The first gaming content creators to announce their participation are xSlayder, Ovvy, iRaphahell, iSilent, LukaLuk, Sinner and Sky. They will run tournaments in video games such as Minecraft, EA FC 25 and Fortnite, and the gamers will be able to play alongside or against them in matches on the event’s big stage. In addition, streamers will take part in meet & greet sessions where they can meet their most ardent fans. More content creators will be announced in the coming period.

The Bucharest Gaming Week stage will also bring the spotlight to the cosplay parade, where the creators of the best costumes inspired by video game characters will parade, as well as demonstratives matches in EA FC 25, Counter-Strike 2 or Fortnite.
On the weekend of October 5-6, Bucharest Gaming Week kicks off with a series of streams, where some of the most popular influencers will challenge their communities with missions in the most popular video games.

From October 7 to 13, 2024, Bucharest Gaming Week presents a series of related events that showcase the creative power and opportunities that the gaming industry offers, from game development workshops for high school students, to cybersecurity conferences that will talk about the dangers gamers are exposed to in the online space, to video game-inspired film screenings and competitions with prizes in the gaming pubs in Bucharest.
