This year marks a milestone for Microsoft Romania as we celebrate 25 years of digital innovation in Romania – 25 years that have brought countless changes for us, as well as for the world, changes that no one could have ever imagined.
With internet connectivity barely present at the time, late 1996 meant the opening of the first Microsoft office in Bucharest. 25 years later we wish to acknowledge all the foundational partnerships that led to remarkable achievements and celebrate the leap of the Romanian society over several technological ages powered by the talent, effort, and knowledge of its people.
An anniversary is a perfect moment not only to look back but also to envision tomorrow. Technology has a key role in shaping better prospects for all and innovation is core to this hope, so Microsoft aims to cultivate an environment that encourages individuals and organizations to be bold, to think big, and to work together in order to define and build a better future for all.
Since we wouldn’t have reached this point without you, we’d like to celebrate this milestone together.
