Recent developments in the strategic “war” between Moscow and Washington are creating a real panic among politicians in Bucharest. On various television channels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, other political leaders or military analysts do not hesitate to scare us with the possible war that Russia will start in Ukraine, with direct repercussions on our country.
None of them are trying to calm public opinion, they all have tense muscles and are ready to obey the order of the Strategic Partner – US. Nothing in Bucharest is designed without the Romania-US umbilical cord.
A greater illusion has never happened in Romania. With or without NATO, the US will do nothing for Romania. As he has never done in the past. Because she is not interested and does not trust a president of Romania (Klaus Iohannis) compromised internally and externally.
Some of the former satellites of Soviet Moscow do not want to follow with their eyes closed either the “directives” from Washington or those from Brussels.
Hungarians, for example, have the best relations with the Russian Federation. These days, a very important visit of Viktor Orban to Moscow is being prepared. According to the Hungarian press, the meeting between Viktor Orbán and Vladimir Putin is scheduled to take place on February 1. The main topics between the two countries’ leaders will include the Paks 2 nuclear power plant project, the extension of the gas supply contract and the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Hungary. “We would like to see the two new reactors operational by the end of this decade. Because with these two new reactors, the four existing reactors and the ongoing solar investments, Hungary will also be a supplier when it comes to electricity, ”said Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
For their part, the Poles, although they have had many disappointments in their economic relations with Beijing, are always pro-active towards China. President Andrzej Duda plans to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics to support Polish athletes, Jakub Kumoch, head of the President’s Bureau for International Policy, said recently. Kumoch added that Duda’s conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping was planned. The Beijing Winter Olympics will begin on February 4 and run until February 20.
In Bucharest, if you say the name of Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping, you are either a traitor to the country or an anti-American. That is, the enemy of the people.
Shameful, for a country that, in the past, during the time of Nicolae Titulescu (between the two world wars) and Nicolae Ceausescu (in the 1970s and early 1980s) played an extremely important role for the identity of Europe and the independence of nations and Eastern European states.
