Bucharest, December 2, 2024# rbj – Starting from March 2024, the private railway operator Transferoviar Călători (TFC) from Romania will introduce train services on the route Ruse (Bulgaria) – Henri Coandă Otopeni International Airport via Giurgiu and Bucharest North Railway Station , after the completion of the works for the modernization of the Giurgiu-Comana-Bucureşti Nord line, the online portal bgtourism.bg informed on Tuesday, taken over by the BTA press agency, writes Agerpres.

The duration of a trip between Ruse and Bucharest North Railway Station will be approximately 50-60 minutes and Henri Coandă Otopeni International Airport will be accessible from the Bulgarian city on the bank of the Danube in approximately 80-100 minutes. The price of a trip will be 25 lei (five euros).

For this route, Transferoviar Călători will use Alstom Coradia LINT 41 trains that can reach a speed of up to 160 km/h. These train sets produced in France can carry 130 passengers, with 16 seats in first class. Alstom Coradia trains are already in commercial operation, after making their first trip between Bucharest North Station and Brasov.

In all trains operated by Transferoviar Călători, the travel fare can be paid in LEI (RON), cash or card, payment with contactless bank cards being possible on all connections.

At the same time, Transferoviar Călători informs that the facilities related to student transport by rail according to the new legislative acts are granted starting from September 5, 2023. Thus, starting from September 5, 2023, travel cards are issued for students and students free of charge/discount on railway transport according to the laws: Law on pre-university education no. 198/2023 and the Higher Education Law no. 199/2023.
