The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed Thursday’s session, and the BET index, indicating the evolution of the 16 most liquid companies with the exception of SIFs, posted a 1.54% appreciation, to 9,024.03 points, a maximum of the last 10 years.
‘It is the maximum of 2019 and the highest value in the last 10 years. On January 4, 2008, the BET index recorded a higher value of 9,735 points respectively. From the beginning of the year to the present, the BET index has grown by about 22%, “according to the BSE’s Facebook page.
The total value of exchanges went up to 52.19 million lei (11.02 million euros), from 24.01 million lei (5,072 million euros) the previous day.
The BET Plus index, showing the evolution of the 37 most liquid stocks on the BSE, grew by 1.47%, while the SIF BET-FI index appreciated by 0.23%. BET-NG, the index of the 10 energy and utilities companies, appreciated by 1.21%.
The BET-XT expanded BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stocks registered a 1.3% appreciation and the BET-BK return on investment funds closed a 0.96% surplus.
On the Regulated Market, Transilvania’s shares were the most traded, generating exchanges of 23.83 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom (6.41 million lei) and BRD (5.68 million lei).
Best performances were recorded by Altur shares, which accounted for 5.41%, COMCM (plus 5.26%) and MedLife (plus 4.84%).
On the other hand, the most significant depreciation was recorded by Ropharma shares, down 5%, Oil Terminal (-4.49) and Electroputere (-3.7%).
