Frisbo, the Romanian start-up and Europe’s largest e-fulfillment platform, which takes care of warehousing, packaging and delivery of online orders, announces the expansion of its operations in the UK, Spain, Italy and Austria in the first quarter of the year, facilitating logistics for online sellers in Europe who want to reach these markets.
This year, Frisbo aims to expand operations in Benelux, Estonia, Lithuania and Finland, estimating to double its annual turnover. Frisbo currently operates 25 warehouses in the UK, Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and Chile, serving over 200 online merchants and integrating with the most popular e-commerce platforms and marketplaces in the region.
The company enables online stores to scale internationally by making it affordable to expand into other markets, both through an integrated network of warehouses and a next-day delivery option to 24 European countries so far.
“This year, we aim to open up access to even more markets and allow our customers to expand to countries outside the European Union, starting now with the UK. Thus, most likely by the end of 2022, we will operate in almost all of Europe,” said Bogdan Colceriu, CEO and founder of Frisbo.
According to Frisbo, the number of customers grew by 70% last year. As for 2022, the company is expecting a sharp increase in the number of customers, in the context of its new market expansion. Companies such as Xiaomi’s official representative in Romania and Hungary, Bitdefender, Aosom, Morphy Richard, Meli Melo, I.D. Sarrieri and Intercars have already shook hands with the Romanian start-up.
“2021 has been a challenging year for logistics, having to face blockages in supply chains despite a high growth potential of the industry. In many industries, delivery times have increased dramatically, and as online retail is more of an inventory-intensive business, this has affected many businesses.“, Bogdan Colceriu added.
According to Frisbo, among the expected market trends in 2022 is the direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, so more and more companies will outsource this service to e-fulfillment platforms. Also, to meet growing customer demands and to protect the environment, many online companies as well as logistics service providers will make sustainability a priority. This could involve using recyclable packaging, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, using more energy efficient equipment etc, and Frisbo plans to adapt to these trends.
Frisbo is the smart e-fulfillment platform with the largest reach in Europe, launched in 2014. Frisbo’s vision is to develop Europe-wide and then globally a new standard for distributed, algorithmic order processing, helping to improve the e-commerce market by supporting and facilitating the cross-border expansion of online shops.
