Bucharest, September 25, 2025 – RBJ – Samsung Romania announces the opening of registrations for the 2025 – 2026 edition of the national Solve for Tomorrow competition, dedicated to high school students aged 16 to 19. This year, applications are open from September 25 to November 11 through the registration form available at www.samsung.com/ro/solvefortomorrow. Now in its fifth edition in Romania, Solve for Tomorrow offers young people the opportunity to turn their ideas into impactful solutions for their communities.
Solve for Tomorrow is a global strategic educational program run by Samsung in over 68 countries, through which more than 2.9 million students have been supported over the past 15 years to develop innovative thinking, STEM skills and the ability to address major social challenges. In Romania, Solve for Tomorrow has attracted more than 4,300 high school students across its four previous local editions. This year’s edition comes with a central message adapted to today’s realities: “AI the ideas. AI the tech. Make them matter”, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence as a tool for turning ideas into solutions and solutions into progress.
The prizes include Samsung educational resources – gadgets and technology solutions designed to support young people’s development and access to innovation. In addition, for the first time, coordinating teachers passionate about educational projects who register by October 23, 2025, will enter a special raffle with the chance to win the latest Samsung smartphones. Also, for the first time, the total prize value will reach approximately €28,000 – the highest in the history of the program in Romania.

Students can submit projects individually or in teams of up to five members, coordinated by a teacher, in three thematic categories: Education and Diversity through Technology, Environmental Protection through Technology, and Social Change through Sports and Technology – the latter introduced for the first time in this edition, complementing the established focus areas of education and environmental protection.

How the competition works
Registrations are open between September 25 and November 11, 2025. Afterwards, 25 finalist teams will be selected to take part in an intensive program of workshops and mentoring, designed to help them further develop their projects. The competition will conclude with a final gala on March 27, 2026, when the jury will announce the winners. Throughout the competition, finalists will follow a diverse educational journey, participating in workshops on design thinking techniques, entrepreneurship, presentation skills, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and the deepfake phenomenon. For the first time, this year’s edition also introduces a special workshop on sports and resilience, complementing the overall learning experience.

The program is carried out in collaboration with educational and academic partners Junior Achievement Romania and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies – Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, with technology and AI partner Google Romania, and entrepreneurial partners 5 to go, Startarium & Impact Hub.

At the final gala, the jury will select three winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) and will also grant three special awards: Sport Ambassador, Social Media Ambassador and Most Dedicated Teacher.

At the international level, Solve for Tomorrow is one of Samsung’s flagship educational programs. Over the past 15 years, the competition has encouraged millions of young people around the world to address global issues such as environmental sustainability and social change through sports and technology.
In Romania, Solve for Tomorrow has evolved steadily, from its first editions to the current competition with record prizes and a broader openness to the diversity of themes and societal needs.
