Romanian company Chimcomplex produces biocide to WHO standards

Chimcomplex launches the biocidal production that is the basis of the disinfectants recommended by the World Health Organization in the fight with COVID-19, after receiving an opinion from the Ministry of Health. In the last weeks the company has changed its industrial production lines in order to produce sodium hypochlorite, 1.25% concentration, as a priority.
“In recent weeks, the company has modified its industrial production lines in order to be able to produce sodium hypochlorite, as a necessary product for public health, in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic. Starting tomorrow, the hypochlorite will be launched in production on the Râmnicu Vâlcea and Oneşti platforms in an effort to slow down and limit the spread of COVID-19 in Romania ”, the quoted document shows.
The products will be available as a priority for the Romanian market, for both public institutions and all economic agents. To begin with, the product will be delivered in one-ton packs of IBC or in car tanks, and will be distributed in other containers for domestic users in the next period.
The first deliveries will be made according to emergencies and the institutions that need acute disinfection of external spaces.
The company estimates that it will initially reach a delivery capacity of 1,000 tons/county.
The chlorine is the safest solution for disinfection. Used in the recommended concentrations is not harmful to the human body and the environment. That is why the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommend it for surface cleaning against the COVID-19 virus.
Chimcomplex announces the availability to conclude partnerships with local companies in the next period to distribute the products as efficiently as possible nationally.
Chimcomplex, the only producer in Romania of chlorine and sodium hypochlorite-based biocidal active substances, produces sodium hypochlorite solution with a concentration of 12.5% since 1960, for which it has a biocidal opinion issued by the National Commission for Biocidal Products .
The product is marketed both nationally and internationally, being used in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Serbia and 31 other countries.
