Bucharest, February 25, 2026 – RBJ – Romania returns to MIPIM with a National Pavilion, marking a strengthened and highly visible presence at the world’s leading international real estate event dedicated to urban development and investment. Each year, MIPIM brings together over 20,000 professionals and decision-makers from more than 80 countries. The event will take place from March 9–13, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, and serves as a key reference point for global investment strategies and cross-border partnerships.
Organized by the Association of Real Estate Investors (AREI), in partnership with ASAP Communications, the official MIPIM representative for Romania, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, the 2026 National Pavilion marks, for the second consecutive year, Romania’s unified presence at this international event, further consolidating the country’s visibility as a competitive investment destination in Central and Eastern Europe.
Romania is entering a new phase of investment maturity – grounded in solid values and a long-term vision. Through its participation at MIPIM, Romania aims to showcase the investment segments it has consolidated in recent years – from residential and retail to logistics, office, and mixed-use developments – while attracting a new wave of international investors interested in the opportunities of a rapidly maturing market. At the same time, Romania celebrates the partnerships and investors who have contributed to firmly positioning the country on the European real estate investment map.
The private sector is represented by leading industry players integrated within the Pavilion, showcasing premium projects and solutions, including: AFI Romania, CTP, Forte Partners, HAGAG Europe, Intero, One United Properties, and MetaWealth. These exhibitors will present innovative approaches across residential real estate, retail, logistics, urban regeneration, and alternative investments, demonstrating the dynamism and diversity of the local market.
“We are delighted to be present at MIPIM and believe that this initiative deserves to be supported and further strengthened in order to reinforce Romania’s position as a relevant destination for international investors. In just a few days in Cannes, we have a packed agenda of relevant meetings on strategic issues, in a format that significantly accelerates dialogue and decision-making,” stated Mr. Geo Margescu, Co-Founder and CEO of Forte Partners and member of the Board of Association of Real Estate Investors of Romania.
Strong Public and Institutional Representation. The Pavilion will also host high-level officials, underlining the Romanian authorities’ commitment to supporting sustainable development and public-private collaboration:
Orslya-Maria Kover, State Secretary, Ministry of Development
Vasile Asandei, Director General of the North-East Regional Development Agency, accompanied by a regional delegation including representatives from Neamț, Iași, and Suceava.
The presence of the public sector alongside private sector leaders underscores the shared commitment to coherent urban development and attracting sustainable long-term investment.
Throughout MIPIM, the Romania National Pavilion will host a series of debates dedicated to strategic topics and themes for the real estate industry and regional economic development. Discussions will range from Romania’s role in logistics, infrastructure, and regional security – including its positioning in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction – to the modernization of investment structures through the development of REITs and greater integration with capital markets. The agenda will also address Romania’s business and investment potential at the intersection of public policy and private capital, the evolution of the sustainability framework – from ESG toward a governance, sustainability, and economy (GSE) approach, as well as opportunities in hospitality and heritage.
Showcasing Established Romanian Brands. In addition to real estate industry leaders, the National Pavilion will bring together renowned Romanian brands from other industries that support entrepreneurship and promote Romania’s cultural and economic identity internationally, including: Strunga Winery, Scandia Sibiu, Kandia Dulce, Farmec, Artesana, and Topoloveni.
Romania’s presence at MIPIM through its National Pavilion reflects the real potential of the local economy and its capacity to attract solid investments, supported by strong companies and internationally competitive brands.
