Romania is one of the first countries to recognize Vietnam and has provided valuable support and assistance in the struggle to regain independence and national reunification before, as well as today’s construction and development,” said Pham Minh Chinh.

According to the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Romania helped train about 4,000 experts for Vietnam, “which represent a very valuable human resource for the construction and development of the country”.

“Romania actively supported the process of negotiation, ratification and implementation of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), being one of the first two EU countries to ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA)”, he added said Pham Minh Chinh.

He stated that, during the strongest outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, “Romania was the first country in the EU to grant 300,000 doses of vaccines”, helping to overcome the pandemic.

He appreciated that “the relationship between Vietnam and Romania is developing strongly in many fields”.

Cooperation between the localities of the two countries is being promoted. Interpersonal exchanges are increasingly consolidated; more and more Romanian tourists are visiting Vietnam”, the Vietnamese Prime Minister also stated.

“At the same time, we hope that the Government of Romania will continue to protect the legitimate rights of Vietnamese workers in Romania, creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate, establish their lives and do business in the long term, becoming a bridge between the two countries”, the Vietnamese prime minister also declared.

“I am very happy and excited to return this time to Romania and I believe that the visit will contribute to the promotion, strengthening, deepening and efficiency of the friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries, for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, cooperation and development in region and the world”, Pham Minh Chinh also declared.
