DXC Technology Co, a provider of IT and consulting services, announced on Monday it will buy its software development and IT solutions provider Luxoft Holding Inc., for an estimated two billion dollars, Reuters reported.
Luxoft Holding Inc. is also present on the IT market in Romania.
The transaction would be completed by June 2019. Luxoft will maintain its brand and will continue to be headed by General Manager Dmitry Loschinin.
Luxoft offers personalized software development and support for basic applications and vital applications for business, product engineering, testing and technology consulting. The company develops solutions and delivers services from 32 dedicated delivery centers worldwide. Luxoft counts over 13,100 employees in 41 offices in 20 countries in North America, Mexico, Western and Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific and South Africa.
In March 2018, Luxoft announced the appointment of Bogdan Pelinescu as CEO for Central Europe. Bogdan Pelinescu holds the position of general manager of Luxoft Romania in 2011 and has over 20 years experience in the IT industry, of which more than half spent in various management positions. In the seven years since Bogdan Pelinescu coordinated the activities of the Romanian center, the number of employees tripled, while Luxoft is now ranked 4th in the local market, according to the turnover. Also, during this period, the company expanded its customer portfolio to all segments of the industry in Bucharest: telecom, finance and automotive.
