Bucharest, December 31, 2023# rbj – The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) ends 2023 with a capitalization of over 294 billion lei, up 49.2% compared to the end of last year, when the stock market capitalization slightly exceeded 197 billion of lions.

In the last week of this year, when there were only three trading sessions, the stock market capitalization increased by 1.2 billion lei, while the value of share transactions decreased by more than 309 million lei compared to the week previous

According to the data published by BVB, consulted by Agerpres, the share transactions amounted to 94.7 million lei, between December 27 and 29.

The best trading day at BVB was Friday, December 29, when a turnover of 34.9 million lei was recorded, and the worst day, Wednesday, December 27, with a transaction value of 27.8 million lei lei.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BET – closed 2023 at 15,371.11 points.

Hidroelectrica shares were the most liquid securities on the BVB’s main segment, with transactions of 17 million lei and a price decrease of 0.16%.

Fondul Proprietatea, with transactions of almost 17 million lei (+5.02%), and Banca Transilvania, with 11.3 million lei (+0.66%) are also at the top of the transactions.

The most important increases in quotations were recorded by the shares of UCM Resita (28.26%), Energopetrol (14.59%) and Condmag (+12.50%).

At the opposite pole, important decreases were recorded by Prebet shares, with a decline of 5.79%, followed by those of Electroargeş (-5.6%) and those of Carbochim (-4%).
