The name impetum, granted to the group of companies Impetum Group, attracts its name from impetuosity, from the tumultuous manifestation of doing more for the development and consolidation of the domestic capital. A healthy economy needs healthy companies – this is the motto of the team of young lawyers and economists: Andrei Cionca, CEO Impetum Group, Andreea Cionca-Anghelof, managing director and co-founder, Rudi Vizental, CIO and co-founder, Anca Manitiu, CFO, Vasile Godinca-Herlea, COO and co-founder.
The launch of Impetum Group took place in Bucharest, on January 30, 2020. The group was formed by bringing together three prestigious players from the Romanian business environment: CITR, the leader of the Romanian insolvency market, ROCA, the first solution to consolidate the Romanian SMEs. who have a valid future, but are going through a difficult time, and ROCA X, a project for disruptive start-ups in the technology market.
Impetum Group has as essential benchmarks: -4 pillars: 2 for investments, 1 for management and 1 for services; -160 specialists, of which 35 senior managers; -1000 projects managed by its companies; -650 million Euro, as a value of the assets currently managed; -40 million Euro capital; -10 branches in the country and an international office in Cyprus.
Impetum Group is aware that the Romanian economy is a fragile one, dominated by foreign capital and the impact of technology on the development of companies is still at an early stage. That is why the Group aims to become a resource hub, which maximizes business value. Impetum Group will do this by bringing together: business knowledge specific to each of the 3 stages of a company’s life (startup, growth crisis, distress); capital; synergies and crossovers between complementary businesses; as well as a community of managers and entrepreneurs eager to participate actively in strengthening the entrepreneurial culture in Romania. With an integrated and integral approach, throughout the entire chain of a business, the experts of Impetum Group will evaluate in real time the needs of each business, they will fit them into a typology, then they will identify and implement the appropriate solution, using all the resources in the hub.
Under the mission of consolidating and developing the entrepreneurial and management culture in Romania, Impetum Group also established a foundation, which will carry out educational programs and projects for the practical training of future leaders.
ROCA Accelerator Management will be the first initiative of the Foundation, for the development of the next generation of competent leaders with solid values. This is an MBA type program, but with a practical, applied character, which aims to compress the period that a manager needs to train after graduating from 10-15 years to 3-5 years. The young graduates of European universities are targeted, who will have the chance to put into practice the theory learned in these prestigious institutions, while accumulating management experience in companies from the portfolio of brands within Impetum. In the first year the program aims to award 10 scholarships worth between 800-1000 euros, exposure to a diverse practical experience, as well as mentoring with some of the most successful entrepreneurs and managers in Romania. Impetum Group aims to actively contribute to the return of young Romanians to the human country in the country through this project. Rudi Vizental and his team are optimistic about the recovery of this approach started several years ago.
Impetum Group currently has a capital of 40 million euros through its companies, a value that it intends to triple in the next 5 years. The coordination of the Impetum Group will be provided by the founding members of the partner companies, whose expertise in almost all business areas offers them a deep understanding of the national business environment and the experience needed to have a positive impact on it.
The three brands reunited under the identity of the new group will keep their distinct business profiles, addressing and offering solutions for complementary business needs, from the startup, scale-up and distress areas.
In parallel with its business activity, because Romania needs business leaders, Impetum Group aims to actively contribute to the strengthening of the entrepreneurial and management culture in the country.
We hope that the Impetum Group initiatives will be very successful for more and more Romanian companies and for the Romanian economy.
