Bucharest, May 22, 2025 – RBJ – From May 23 to 25, Titan Park in Bucharest will transform into a true culinary garden as it hosts the 5th edition of Asian Food Fest, the largest festival in Romania dedicated to Asian cuisines. Admission is free.
A weekend full of flavor, color, and cultural diversity is set to unfold in the heart of Bucharest’s Sector 3. In the area of the park known as Calul Titanilor (entrance from Liviu Rebreanu Street), visitors will embark on a gastronomic tour across 15 Asian countries. In addition to unforgettable culinary experiences, guests will also enjoy dozens of cultural performances and workshops for all ages.
Asian Food Fest is a project that brings together the cuisine, traditions, and cultural diversity of Asia, offering Bucharest locals a unique multisensory experience. With each edition, the festival continues to attract a growing audience, demonstrating Romanians’ increasing interest in international food culture. Organizers invite all lovers of new tastes, authentic traditions, and unforgettable experiences to discover Asia right here at home.
An Authentic Asian Culinary Feast
At Asian Food Fest, visitors will have the opportunity to taste hundreds of traditional dishes from 15 countries: Japan, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Syria, Iran, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Pakistan, Nepal, Lebanon, Indonesia, and South Korea.
The festival features a diverse selection of over 70 exhibitors, offering everything from hot meals and aromatic soups to refined desserts and popular Asian street food.
Highlights from this year’s edition include:
>>> Japan: Ramen, sushi varieties, mochi, traditional glutinous rice cakes, and Asian-style cheesecake
>>> China: Bao buns (various fillings) and “ants climbing a tree” noodles
>>> Thailand: Massaman curry, Tom Yum soup, and rolled ice cream
>>> South Korea: Mandu dumplings and Korean spring rolls
>>> India & Pakistan: Samosas, butter chicken (murgh makhani)
>>> Sri Lanka: Kottu Rotti – a mix of noodles, fresh vegetables, meat (chicken, pork, beef, seafood), and curry spices
>>> Vietnam: Banh Bao dumplings and Pho soup
>>> Philippines: Chicken Sisig (a chicken twist on the traditional pork dish), Palabok noodles, and Siomai dumplings
Various countries: A wide range of seafood including calamari rings, shrimp, and octopus
>>> Lebanon & Turkey: Knafeh, baklava, and other oriental desserts
Drinks: Traditional Asian beverages, including bubble tea, exotic fruit juices, aromatic teas, Asian beer, rare wines, and Japanese sake.
Special dietary options will also be available, including vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free dishes, light desserts, salads, and natural juices.
Food will be available for takeaway from the culinary exhibitors’ stands and food trucks. Those who wish to enjoy their meals on-site can do so in a specially arranged dining area with tables, chairs, and umbrellas.
More Than Food: A Celebration of Asian Cultures
The festival goes beyond culinary experiences and offers visitors a full cultural immersion. Daily traditional and artistic performances will take place on the stage by the lake in Titan Park, including:
Bollywood dances, K-pop & K-dance shows (India, South Korea)
Korean drum shows (Samulnori) and Geta Beraya performances (Sri Lanka)
Filipino dances, belly dancing (Turkey), and Filipino street dance
Traditional costume parades and cultural showcases.

Friday, May 23 – K-Pop Party with Korean music and DJ Lady Stardust
Saturday, May 24 – Asian Party with an eclectic vibe by Pixar Stelar
Sunday, May 25 – Oriental Party featuring Bollywood beats and varied Asian influences with DJ and MC Giri Sisodiya.
Creative Workshops & Activities for All Ages
Beyond the food court, visitors will find a dedicated area for creative and recreational activities organized by the Creative Arts Center. Children and adults can take part in free workshops, including: Painting on ceramics, fans, stones, and lanterns; Origami and Japanese, Chinese, and Korean calligraphy; Introduction to Chinese acupuncture; Chopsticks Challenge & Bookmark making
Yukata dressing workshop by “Kitsuke Keiko”; Korean fan painting & Norigae (traditional accessory) workshop; Japanese hairstyling
Rangoli and sand painting workshops; Traditional Korean games inspired by Squid Game.
Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy a ride on Titan Lake in a traditional Dragon Boat (China) or kayaks, in collaboration with Kayak Champions.
