Cluj-Napoca, May 26 2025 – RBJ –Wild Hills, the first corporate country club retreat near Cluj-Napoca, developed on the site of the former Jucu stud farm, will officially open at the end of May following an 8-million-euro investment. Spanning 100 hectares, Wild Hills is one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects for corporate events and sustainable retreats in Central and Eastern Europe. Built with significant investments and meticulous restoration of historical facilities, Wild Hills offers a new model of reconnection with nature and meaning, through a blend of premium experiences, reactivated heritage, sustainability, and contemporary spirit.
Wild Hills is the latest project completed by real estate developer Felinvest, whose portfolio includes Cluj Business Campus, the mixed-use real estate project that introduced the 1-minute city concept to Romania’s office market.
Positioned at the Crossroads of a Country Club, Experience Center, and Venue for Memorable Events, Wild Hills is designed for companies and communities seeking more than a place to relax.
“We believe the future of healthy companies is built in contexts that inspire, support balance, and cultivate authentic values. Wild Hills was designed as a complete business infrastructure that compromises neither nature nor the identity of the place. We respectfully restored the former stud farm in Jucu and integrated heritage elements into every detail, from the reused old wood to the equestrian spirit of the area. At the same time, we offer modern facilities, operate 100% on renewable energy, and are working towards achieving one of the most prestigious certifications, BREEAM Outstanding. In a region with an equestrian tradition dating back to Roman times, we aimed to deliver a benchmark project on the real estate market, demonstrating that sustainability, conservation, and history can become real pillars for long-term development, even in the corporate sector”, said Vlad Buzoianu, CEO of Felinvest.
Wild Hills addresses a critical need among companies for meaningful spaces that foster genuine connection and organizational culture building. Inspired by international models such as Trailblazer Ranch, the project aims to become a true culture center in nature, tailored to the Central and Eastern European market, for teams, leaders, and communities seeking coherence in how they live, work, and create.
This initiative is backed by a long-term sustainable development vision: the estate is certified as ecological pastureland, runs entirely on renewable energy, and the Heritage restaurant operates on a farm-to-plate model supported by local producers.
With a goal to serve as a driver of local development, Wild Hills has recruited approximately 60% of its team from neighboring communities and works with over 30 local suppliers in areas such as gastronomy, logistics, arts, and crafts. In its first year, it expects more than 5,000 visitors, with a direct impact on the local HORECA and rural tourism sectors.
In the long term, Wild Hills aims to become a replicable model of harmoniously integrating heritage into sustainable tourism in Romania; a place that encapsulates the discretion of real luxury, the power of community, and the benefits of nature, while enhancing the investment appeal of Jucu by transforming the area into a premium experience hub.
Wild Hills – Official Launch on May 29
The official launch of Wild Hills will take place on May 29, marked by a conceptual event designed as a cultural and culinary journey meant to reflect the philosophy of the place – “A space of presence. A story between tradition and future. Wild Hills – where heritage is reborn through art, nature, and meaning.”
Wild Hills fills a major gap identified in the regional corporate events market: the absence of a venue that combines authentic nature, restored architecture, large-scale facilities, modern technology, and true sustainability. With integrated AV technology, smart infrastructure, high-speed internet, and fully functional indoor-outdoor spaces, Wild Hills offers 3,000 square meters of built space and modular options for events ranging from 20 to over 1,500 participants, addressing an underserved segment in the region. Moreover, The Wild Side area – currently under development – will include Cluj-Napoca’s first wakeboarding park, restored equestrian facilities, and premium glamping accommodations in harmony with nature, with capacity for up to 100 guests.
All these features will be complemented by the exclusive Beautiful Minds membership program, aimed at a new generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs who value belonging, creativity, and social responsibility.
