“Sonimpex Topoloveni continues its presence at international fairs where it promotes the Romanian gastronomic tradition through the “Topoloveni Magiun din prune” Brand. The promotion is carried out with European funds intended for products certified with a Protected Geographical Indication by the European Union and aims to expand the trade of these products outside the Union . We chose the Vietfood&Beverage Fair in Vietnam for promotion because in this country products without added sugar, without preservatives, have zero taxes. Government responsible for the health of the people!” said Diana Stanciulov, commercial director of Sonimpex Topoloveni.
According to the quoted source, 2022 is the last year of the promotion program for Vietnam won by Sonimpex Topoloveni, which ran for a period of three years and had a budget of almost 800,000 euros.
“At this fair, we had the honor of being visited by the ambassador of Romania in RS Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia, who convinced Ly Nha Ky, Honorary Consul of Romania in Vietnam since 2018, to present the benefits of consuming Topoloveni plum magic. Ly Nha Ky is one of Vietnam’s personalities with a great influence in the direction of consumption from food to fashion. Topoloveni plum magic has gained its notoriety through the special work of the people in the company who make unique foods: jams without added sugar obtained on the basis of a patent of Invention and the Topoloveni Plum Magic obtained according to a recipe of over a century”, mentioned Stanciulov.
This year, on April 1, the European Union internationalized the Protected Geographical Indication for 70 products out of the 1,500 registered at European level. Topoloveni plum magiun also obtained the “Best taste” recognition for preserves, also at the European level. Also, at the national level, Sonimpex holds the NATO Operator Code.
“We continue to be proud of ……., and on the website of the Ministry of Health we are listed as a “product without added sugar”. We continue the Romanian gastronomic tradition by processing Romanian Romanian fruits and vegetables, without added sugar, without preservatives, offering functional foods from the age of 6 months to people with diabetes”, said Diana Stanciulov.
Sonimpex Topoloveni is the holder of the first “Protected Geographical Indication” (PGI) certificate in Romania, obtained in 2011 by the Topoloveni plum magiun.
