Cluj-Napoca, Romania, March 11, 2026RBJ – OVES Enterprise, Romanian software development company with expertise in building complex software solutions and AI innovations for the aerospace, defense and cybersecurity industries, contributes through its Nemesis AI technology to enhancing the capabilities of the EAGLS™ counter-drone systems developed by MSI Defense Solutions and currently deployed by the U.S. Army in the Middle East to protect forces engaged in operations.

From memorandum to operational deployment
The implementation of Nemesis AI technology is the result of the strategic memorandum signed nearly a year ago between OVES Enterprise and MSI Defense Solutions, a U.S. company specialized in the development of advanced tactical systems for land and naval defense and a partner of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Following this agreement, the artificial intelligence models developed by OVES Enterprise were trained and deployed within the architecture of the Electronic Advanced Ground Launcher System (EAGLS™), designed to detect and neutralize drones and other aerial threats.

What Nemesis AI brings to the battlefield
In its current configuration, the EAGLS™ system uses laser-guided APKWS (Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System) rockets together with radar and optical sensors to intercept drones.
The Nemesis AI technology implemented on these systems relies on multiple artificial intelligence models trained for target recognition, trajectory analysis and prediction of the future position of drones.
Once a threat is identified, the system can automatically perform functions such as target acquisition, target lock and target tracking, autonomously following the target and calculating the parameters required for interception. Nemesis AI analyzes data coming from sensors, estimates the drone’s trajectory and generates the parameters needed for turret orientation and interception launch.

By automating these processes, the system significantly reduces the workload of human operators and simplifies the operation of the platform. In traditional configurations, intercepting a drone may require the coordination of several operators. The use of artificial intelligence allows a significant portion of these operations to be carried out automatically, substantially increasing system efficiency and the interception rate of targets.

“At MSI Defense Solutions we constantly seek to integrate technologies that can improve the performance of our systems in real operational scenarios. In a theater of operations, reaction time is critical. The integration of artificial intelligence allows us to analyze sensor data in real time and significantly shorten the interval between detecting a threat and making the interception decision. Sometimes we are talking about one or two seconds – and in such situations this difference can literally mean the difference between life and death for the people on the ground”, says Nguyen Trinh, CEO of MSI Defense Solutions.

The integration of Nemesis AI into the EAGLS™ systems confirms that the technology developed by OVES Enterprise can operate in real operational scenarios. In this type of systems, the difference is made by the speed with which threats are identified and classified and by the ability to reduce the time between detecting a drone and intercepting it. Our technology analyzes data from multiple sensors, identifies hostile targets, tracks their trajectory and supports the neutralization decision. In a context where drones are becoming faster and more autonomous, integrating artificial intelligence into defense systems becomes essential for protecting forces engaged in operations”, says Mihai Filip, CEO of OVES Enterprise.

The use of drones in recent conflicts has significantly changed how defense systems are designed. Attacks involving autonomous drones or coordinated drone groups can easily overwhelm traditional air defense systems, prompting militaries to invest in C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) capable of detecting, classifying and neutralizing threats in real time. Integrating artificial intelligence into such systems enables rapid analysis of large volumes of sensor data and significantly reduces reaction time in intercepting targets.

The EAGLS™ systems are designed as mobile C-UAS platforms capable of intercepting fast or autonomous drones using integrated radar and optical sensors and guided munitions. The estimated cost of a system is approximately $5 million, positioning it among operationally and economically efficient solutions for countering aerial threats.

Development directions
OVES Enterprise continues to develop the Nemesis AI technology with the objective of extending the system’s capabilities to detect targets at longer distances — including up to approximately 20 kilometers — and to manage coordinated swarm attacks, one of the most complex scenarios on today’s battlefields.

Currently, the human operator remains part of the decision chain (“human in the loop”), while a large part of the processes related to target identification, tracking and analysis is carried out automatically by the system. In the long term, the development of the platform aims to increase the level of autonomy of these systems, with the objective of enabling fully autonomous operation in certain operational scenarios.

The company is also considering the possibility of presenting the EAGLS™ system enhanced with Nemesis AI in Romania, including during the BSDA (Black Sea Defense & Aerospace) international exhibition, one of the most important events dedicated to the defense industry in the region.

OVES Enterprise expresses its availability to conduct technical demonstrations for Romanian authorities interested in evaluating such solutions in the context of modernizing national defense capabilities and the growing importance of C-UAS systems within the regional security architecture.

Given the high international demand for such systems, organizing operational demonstrations in Romania would require logistical coordination regarding the transport and availability of platforms currently deployed in other theaters of operations.
