Bucharest, October 20, 2025 – RBJ – The volume of construction work increased, in the first eight months, compared to the similar period in 2024, as a gross series, by 9.7%, and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 9.8%, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) show.
“The volume of construction works, as a gross series, increased, overall, by 9.7%, an increase recorded in capital repair works (+50.4%) and in new construction works (+7%). Maintenance and current repair works decreased by 2.7%. By construction objects, increases were recorded in engineering constructions (+11.8%), residential buildings (+10.1%) and non-residential buildings (+5.5%)”, show the INS data.
The volume of construction works increased, as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, by 9.8%. Capital repair works and new construction works increased by 48.7% and 7.8%, respectively.
Maintenance and current repair works decreased by 5.2%. By construction objects, increases were recorded in engineering constructions (+13%), residential buildings (+8.7%) and non-residential buildings (+3.8%).
The volume of construction works decreased, as a gross series, by 24.7%, a decrease highlighted in maintenance and current repair works (-30.6%), capital repair works (-25.7%) and new construction works (-22.6%). By construction objects, decreases occurred in residential buildings (-26%), engineering constructions (-25%) and non-residential buildings (-23.2%).
The volume of construction works decreased, as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 26.2%, a decrease highlighted in maintenance and current repair works (-27.7%), capital repair works (-24.3%) and new construction works (-18.3%).
By construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased in residential buildings (-21.8%), engineering constructions (-20.8%) and non-residential buildings (-19.3%).
The volume of construction works, as a gross series, decreased, overall, by 2.1%. By structural elements, decreases were recorded in maintenance and current repair works (-13.5%) and in new construction works (-4.1%). Capital repair works increased by 27.7%.
By construction objects, engineering constructions decreased by 7.9%. Residential buildings and non-residential buildings increased by 12.6% and 2.7%, respectively. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works decreased, in total, by 2.3%.
By structural elements, the decrease is highlighted in maintenance and current repair works (-11.1%) and in new construction works (-1.9%). Capital repair works increased by 30.4%.
By construction objects, the volume of construction works decreased in engineering constructions (-4.4%). Residential buildings and non-residential buildings increased by 16.8% and 5%, respectively.
