The Ford Romania company has started deliveries of Ford Puma, the most eco-friendly and technologically produced car exclusively in Romania, and has announced the official price list. The cheapest model, Titanium, has a list price of 20,250 euros and a launch price of 16,500 euros, VAT included.
“On the National Day of Romania, Ford loaded the first train with Ford Puma units intended for customers of the new model produced in Craiova. The first train – with almost 300 cars being transported – has already been loaded to Flushing, the Netherlands. Later, they will be transported by ship to the United Kingdom. We are very pleased that the launch of the new model is underway. Ford Puma launch team, Ford Craiova team and our suppliers have done an excellent job, “said Ford Romania President Ian Pearson, quoted in the statement.
Ford Romania also announces that as production progresses, it will continue to ship units of the Puma model to all countries in the European Union, to support the commercial launch that will start in January.
Ford began the production of the new Puma SUV in October 2019. To launch this new model, the company claims to have invested 200 million euros and completed the recruitment process of approximately 1,700 new employees this year: basic operators and qualified personnel. . At the same time, in order to meet the growing demand on the European market, Ford introduced a third exchange at the Craiova factory. Right now, Ford Craiova has about 6,200 employees working in three and four turns for both vehicle and engine production, according to Agerpres.
In addition to the two SUVs, EcoSport and Puma, Ford produces in Craiova the award-winning 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine in the 95 hp, 125 hp, 125 hp mHEV and 155 hp mHEV.
