Starting as a family business born from a personal need to combat humidity issues, the company has evolved into a mature organization with over 30 employees, nearly one million products sold, and a clear vision for international expansion.
At a time when the air treatment market was almost non-existent in Romania, AlecoAir played a key role in educating consumers and bringing modern technologies into Romanian homes. Founded in 2006, the company began its activity as an importer of established European brands, such as Trotec, Meaco, or Clean Air Optima. The strategic turning point occurred in 2017, when the management decided to launch its own brand, AlecoAir, with the objective of offering high-performance equipment adapted to local purchasing power, without compromises regarding technological standards.
A benchmark moment in the company’s evolution was the launch of the first AlecoAir product in 2018, a 2-in-1 dehumidifier with a purification function, which rapidly became a bestseller and maintained its top-selling position for several years. Currently, over 90% of the company’s sales are generated by its own-brand products, and AlecoAir portfolio includes over 200 active models, covering the categories of purification, dehumidification, humidification, climate control, and smart home solutions, featuring advanced technologies such as multi-stage filtration systems, TRUE HEPA filters, UV-C, ionization, and air quality monitoring.

In 2013, the company launched its first online store, and in 2015, it reached its first milestone of 1 million euros in turnover.
