Bucharest, November 22, 2023 – # rbj – Quantum Project, a project company controlled by the Romanian entrepreneur Adrian Tomşa, announces that it has signed with OTE, a subsidiary telecommunications company of Deutsche Telekom, a binding agreement regarding the acquisition of the 99 share package, 9999994% owned by Telekom România Mobile Communications. The completion of the transaction is conditional on obtaining all the necessary approvals from the competent Romanian State institutions, in parallel with the finalization of the terms of the document.
During the day of 21.11.2023, the transaction was officially announced by OTE at the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX), according to legal procedures.
“We trust that the institutions of the Romanian State will favorably analyze this transaction as soon as possible, as all the necessary documents have already been submitted in this regard. Maintaining the company Telekom Romania Mobile Communications as a distinct player in the market, without being absorbed by any of the other telecommunications groups present on the Romanian market, will allow the preservation of a competitive market environment, for the benefit of all users in Romania”, said Adrian Tomşa.
The large number of investors interested in taking over the company operated by OTE in recent years certifies its potential. The Romanian entrepreneurs involved in the Quantum Project intend to build and consolidate a strong brand, 100% Romanian, dedicated exclusively to domestic customers.
“The interest in Telekom România Mobile Communications expressed by several investors in recent years only proves and strengthens the potential of the company and the telecommunications market in Romania. Once the acquisition is completed, we will initiate the process of transforming the company into a local, dynamic, secure operator, dedicated to all domestic residential customers and which, at the same time, will provide support for the large national digitization projects that Romania desperately needs. By taking over these operations we will develop a successful 100% Romanian project, with the hope that this model will give confidence and be an example for the Romanian entrepreneurial spirit.
