The platform through which the World Health Organization (WHO) distributed anti-COVID vaccines globally in 2020 was developed by the Romanian company Essensys Software, its director-general, Mihai Matei, said on Thursday in a debate on digitalization.

“We work a lot abroad, maybe over 80% of our clients are not from Romania. One of our big clients is the World Health Organization. Last year, we implemented the platform through which the distribution of covid vaccines was made globally. So, almost all covid vaccines that have been distributed in this world through the WHO are distributed through a digital platform developed by us. We also have projects with the World Bank and the OSCE “, said Mihai Matei, at Smart Transformation Forum 2021.

Matei is also president of the Employers ‘Association of the Software and Services Industry and a member of the Board of Directors of the Concordia Employers’ Confederation.
During the digitization event, he mentioned that Essensys Software has created a platform for public institutions that want to digitize, a platform that does not require specialists for implementation.
