Bucharest, April 11, 2024 – RBJ – The photovoltaic panel manufacturer Dahai Solar from China is building a photovoltaic panel factory with an annual capacity of 2,000 MW in the south of Romania, in Călărași County. The factory will be operational in the fall of 2024.
Dahai Solar started the construction of the photovoltaic panel factory in Calarasi. The installation of the assembly line is already expected, according to the information provided by the representatives of the Chinese company. The factory will have a production capacity of 2,000 MW of photovoltaic panels per year, and the company says it will become operational this year, in “August-September”.
The factory will have around 150 employees, who will be recruited from Romania.
“The target market for the delivery of panels is represented by European countries. We chose Romania because of its huge development potential and we hope to use Romania as a production and sales center in Eastern Europe and to expand into Eastern European countries,” Dahar representatives said.
The investment in the factory in Călărași amounts to 10 million euros. Here TOPcon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact – an advanced technology essential for the efficiency and durability of solar panels) monofacial, bifacial photovoltaic panels with a capacity of up to 690W will be produced.
