The Procter & Gamble Group has announced that it will accomplish, in 2021, a new factory in Urlati, of detergent capsules (PODS). The company, which celebrated 25 years of presence in Romania, received state aid for this investment of about 29 million lei.
“This year P&G took another significant step on the Romanian market. Recently, we announced a major investment – the development of a new factory in Urlati, where P&G will produce liquid detergent capsules (PODS), one of P&G’s biggest innovations in the fabric care category. The attractive profile of Romania, the success of the company on the market and, above all, the high quality of the people working here, have made this investment a reality, ”said Antoine Brun, Vice President of Procter & Gamble South East Europe.
Procter & Gamble Company celebrates 25 years of presence in Romania. The moment was marked by an event organized at the Opera and Musical Theater ‘Ion Dacian’, attended by representatives of the authorities, partners and employees.
Starting with 2010, Romania is home to Urlaţi, Prahova, one of the most advanced P&G factories in terms of technology and environmental protection worldwide. This hair care product factory serves over 1 billion consumers in more than 40 markets in Europe, Turkey, Israel, Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Procter & Gamble is one of the largest FMCG companies in the local market and has created over 750 jobs. P&G products are present in over 90% of households in Romania. Procter & Gamble offers brands such as Ariel, Pampers, Lenor, Fairy, Oral B, Gillette, Pantene and Head & Shoulders.
