The People’s Republic of China is today an economic empire, which captivates the interest of all countries in the world, from the poorest to the richest.
Donald Trump-led America is suffering from China-world leader syndrome, Europe seems resigned and is trying to pay full attention to bilateral relations with Beijing. Africa is seeking more and more money from China to grow. And Asian tigers, such as India, are very cautious in their relations with the great and powerful neighbor of the continent.
Since the establishment of the popular regime, in 1949, popular China has traveled an extraordinary path until it reached a great world power. The internal policies of settling the country on a normal country beech, led by Mao Zedong, have continued with the great opening, since the 1970s, to a new communist regime, in which the Communist Party is all-powerful, and the economic and social life has registered a mix between the planned, state, and private economie. Over the past 10 years, this innovative policy of Beijing has made China’s chronic poverty disappear, world-class economic and technological giants appear.
Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China successfully applies the “one country, two systems” theory, with all the opposition of Western states.
The relations between Romania and China reached a peak in the years 1980-1990, then entered a duplicative period due to the intervention of the EU and the great western-European actors, who do not see with good eyes an “conquest” of Eastern Europe by China.
