Bucharest, October 18, 2023 – by rbj – The VELUX Group invites students from architecture faculties in Romania to register for the International VELUX Award 2024 competition, organized on the theme “Light of Tomorrow”. The competition registration period is open until April 1, 2024. The competition organized in 2024 will reach its 11th edition, and previous editions have featured projects received from over 6,000 architecture students from around the world.
Since its first edition in 2004, the International VELUX Award has become a reference competition for students, and future architects, who will shape the buildings of the future. The competition invites students to explore the role of natural light in architecture and aims to stimulate innovation in this field. At the same time, the purpose of this competition is to encourage and challenge them to develop interesting projects that contribute to the development of a deeper understanding of the essential role that natural light has in our lives.
In this competition, students will organize themselves into several teams and work on their projects in one of the two available categories: “Natural light in buildings” or “Natural light research”.
To enter the competition, the first step for students is to register with an email address and phone number. After completing the registration process, they are encouraged by the organizers to form teams, connect with the mentor teacher and start working on the project. Thus, students have a few months to develop their ideas into innovative and creative projects. Registration for the contest is done through the following link.
