Alexander International Holding, founded by Arad businessman Simion Apreutese, buys the Romanian and Czech subsidiaries of the German car component manufacturer Brandl Industries, which is in the process of restructuring.
The transaction concerns the Brandl factories in Sibiu and Kaplice, Czech Republic, as well as the service management division, based in Germany.
The Brandl factory in Sibiu employs 600 people, while the factory in Kaplice has about 300 employees.
Founded in 1970, Brandl Industries (Brandl Maschinenbau) is a supplier of components for the automotive industry, with customers such as Audi or BMW. The company closed its headquarters in Bavaria in April last year and transferred production to units abroad as part of a restructuring process.
Alexander International Holding was founded in Arad in 2003 by Simion Ioan Apreutese. The holding companies, with over 1,000 employees and operations in Romania, Hungary, Serbia, and Germany, provide road, air, and sea freight, warehousing, container management, express services, as well as integrated logistics and real estate services. estate.
In 2019, International Alexander had a business of over 402 million lei (82.5 million euros), increasing by 24% compared to the previous year. Recently, the holding company received the approval of the Competition Council for taking over the freight carrier Vio Trans Grup, from Dâmbovița.
