During 2019, the air traffic on Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport and Bucharest Băneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport recorded 14.729.894 passengers (a 6,39% raise as compared to 2018) and 145.002 aircraft movements (landings and take offs), a 5.23% raise as compared to the previous year).
Henri Coandă Airport recorded 14.707.376 passengers (a 6,38% increase as compared to 2018) and 123.407 aircraft movements (a 0,4% raise as compared to the last year).
Bucharest Băneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport recorded 25,518 passengers (+24.17%) and 21,595 aircraft movements (+45,73%).
At present, 57 airlines operate on Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, carrying passengers to 131 destinations.
Bucharest Airports National Company represents the main aviation pole of Romania, processing approximately 75% of the passengers, cargo and mail traffic registered at a national level. Bucharest Airports National Company, through the two platforms, Otopeni and Baneasa, ensures the conditions for the performance of all the air operations – civil and military – disposing of a substantial development capacity, able to satisfy the air traffic growth forecast, at least until 2030.
